I discovered Star-Lord with the Keith Giffen-penned Annihilation: Conquest - Star-Lord mini-series.
What I like about Star-Lord was established in the first couple pages of the book. Star-Lord seems like a genuinely good guy, a bit sardonic, but he is willing to make the tough, morally questionable choices for the greater good.
I hope Marvel releases an Essential volume of Star-Lord’s original adventures.
